Join OPEN’s Citizens’ Council

What do Citizens’ Council members do?

Members are expected to: 1) share their views by attending in-person and/or virtual meetings at 2-3 times per year until December 2022; 2) complete surveys; and 3) occasionally take part in other activities (for example, attending training sessions and workshops). 

Will I be compensated?

Yes, we will reimburse you for reasonable travel costs for meetings, in addition we will pay $125 per meeting (which includes travel and preparation time) and $20 per hour for training sessions.

Who should join?

We are looking for:

  • Residents of the Greater Toronto Area and Region of Waterloo. 
  • Individuals that are 18 years of age or older.
  • Individuals that have access to emails and a computer/smartphone with Internet
